Unbreakable Bonds
These drop earrings followed on from a matching ring, both built around the same idea: the double bond of a carbon atom, as a symbol of the strongest bond there is. On the ring, the two sweeping diamond-set bands curve down into the shank. Here, they sweep in opposite directions to fall as a pair of long drop earrings.Notes from the workshop Diamonds are made of carbon too, arranged into the tightly bonded lattice that also makes diamond the hardest naturally occurring material on Earth. That made it the obvious stone for a design built around an unbreakable bond.
