Unbreakable Bonds
This diamond dress ring carries a scientific brief. Our customer wanted a piece for his wife that stood for the strongest bond there is, and found it in the double bond of a carbon atom. Two sweeping bands, each set with a diamond, curve down into the shank, tracing the same shape chemists draw between two linked carbon atoms.
He later commissioned a matching pair of drop earrings, carrying the same double-bond design in a different form.
Diamonds are themselves made of carbon, which made the stone an easy choice for a design built around a carbon bond.
