These fire opals were handpicked for our shop selection of loose gemstones. The cut of these particular pair were unusual, a ‘buff top’ design, which consists of a domed top and a faceted bottom. This combination of cuts gives a subtle brilliance to the stones that you would not see in a classic cabochon stone. To match a stunning pink and orange hat for a wedding, these fire opals were the perfect stone to fit the brief once matched up with some vibrant pink sapphires. A halo of diamonds encompasses the fire opals, set in rich 18ct yellow gold metal.
