Sizing & care
We size most rings free of charge before they reach you. Inexpensive silver rings are the exception — we can usually order your size instead. For valuable rings over £500 we size down free of charge; sizing up is charged only for the extra metal.
Rings can be resized at our Diss workshop, usually within five working days, and we’re always happy to advise on caring for precious stones and metals.

About this piece
One of a kind
A cushion amethyst cabochon of 10mm by 8.8mm in a deep, saturated purple, rubbed over in yellow gold above a shank grain-set with diamonds that graduate from 1.2mm at the shoulders down to 0.8mm.
This piece gathers up everything we like here. A richly coloured cabochon with a domed top you want to run a thumb over, diamonds close enough to catch, and a design you notice in the hand before you notice it in the mirror. Yvonne picked the stone for its colour, which is unusually even for an amethyst of that size.
It was drawn in CAD by our designer Evé and finished by hand at the bench, which is the pairing the whole Heritage Collection is about. Grain setting is the traditional half of it: the diamond seats and the tiny beads that hold each stone are cut out of the metal itself rather than added on, so the stones sit flush and the band keeps one unbroken line from shoulder to shoulder.
Because the design was built digitally there are no solder joins in the structure, so a ring worn every day has nothing in it waiting to give.
