The Jewellery Workshop provides a full range of in-house workshop services repairing and restoring precious items of jewellery. Our staff are expertly trained as goldsmiths, gemmologists, pearl stringers and valuers, always available to offer free advice and information.

SCOPE OF WORK
The Jewellery Workshop uses a combination of traditional workshop skills with cutting edge technology to accomplish a complete jewellery repair and restoration service. All work is undertaken in our on-site workshop by experienced jewellers on items such as:

Antique & Period Restoration
Our expert craftsmen are able to appraise, repair and restore your most treasured antique and period items of jewellery. This includes restoration of the piece to its former self, resizing or remodelling.
The Jewellery Workshop stocks an eclectic mix of antique jewellery and watches. Our range of pre-loved jewellery is extensive, alongside our carefully selected timeless period pieces. Our stock is carefully examined and restored to ensure its viability before sale.
Specialist Repairs
The Jewellery Workshop is equipped with forefront manufacturing tools and machinery, enabling us to carry out specialist repairs on your precious jewellery. Items that were previously thought un-repairable using traditional methods can now be repaired skilfully and accurately using microscopes and laser welders.
Our workshop team collectively have over 60 years experience and knowledge of hands-on jewellery manufacturing and repair. We are able to advise you directly from our on-site workshop located above our retail shop, cutting out the ‘middle-man’ and allowing you to speak directly to the master craftsmen that will perform your specialist repair work.
Stringing
We offer a full pearl and bead stringing service as part of our repairs portfolio. All of the stringing takes place on-site by Charlotte our trained stringer. Options such as length, knotted or unknotted, silk type and clasps can be discussed with our shop team.
Superfit
At The Jewellery Workshop we are pleased to offer Superfit, the finest custom fit specialist ring sizing technique. As a ring has to be large enough to pass over your knuckle first, it is often too large for the base of your finger and will roll or turn when worn. Finger sizes can change with the weather, time of day and physical activity.
Superfit offers a micro-engineered hinge design, which allows your ring to open and close, bypassing the knuckle for a more suitable fit at the base of your finger. This invisible hinge mechanism is especially suited for those with arthritic or swollen knuckles. Superfit can be used for a variety of rings and comes with a 5-year guarantee.
