Tibetan Melong Necklace

Tibetan Melong Necklace

BESPOKE

The Tibetan melong ‘mirror’ necklace symbolises the nature of the mind. The mirror is hand made in 22ct gold and fine silver. The reverse is hand engraved with the symbols of the six lokas which are the six realms of existence. Suspended from the mirror is a central ruby crystal carved on each facet with the Buddhas image. The mirror is suspended between Mediterranean coral and three ancient chung dzi beads, accented with 22ct gold rondels.

Notes from the workshop

Chung dzi (dzi) beads are traditional Tibetan agate beads, often carried for generations and prized as protective talismans, a fitting companion here to a mirror already carrying centuries of symbolic weight.
