Why have a blue sapphire when you can have a purple sapphire? Sapphires come in a rainbow of all colours and our customers often choose something a little different for their bespoke one of a kind pieces. The cool purple sapphire was chosen from our loose stone collection to complement the platinum and diamond design. Over 40 round brilliant diamonds were used in a pave setting with a millegrain edge to add a vintage touch to the long drop pendant.Notes from the workshop Fancy-colour sapphires like this purple stone get their hue from a different mix of trace elements than the classic blue, and tend to be rarer, part of why more of our customers are asking for something outside the expected palette.
