(Bespoke) — Engagement rings

Bespoke engagement rings,
designed with you in Norfolk.

Drawn around your story, made to last a lifetime. For over 50 years, couples across Norfolk have come to our Diss workshop to design a ring that is theirs alone: never off-the-shelf, never bought in, drawn from scratch and hand-finished by our own goldsmith.

A bespoke three-stone diamond engagement ring hand-made at The Jewellery Workshop in Diss, Norfolk

A ring you design together says something a shop-window piece can’t. You choose the stone, the metal and the shape, and you watch it take form in our workshop, rather than arrive in a branded box from somewhere far away.

A modern, everyday heirloom. This is the idea we’ve built our name on. Something you’ll wear without a second thought on an ordinary Tuesday, and something your family may still treasure generations from now.

Start with a feeling. You don’t need to arrive with a finished idea. Many couples come with a photo, an old ring, or nothing more than a feeling. That’s where we start.

Truly bespoke means yours, not ours. We don’t push a house style, and we don’t buy in other companies’ designs. Your ring begins as a blank page in our own workshop, and every element of it is yours to decide.

Made here, by the people you meet. You sit with the designer, the goldsmith and the family team who make your ring, all under one roof in Diss. We send nothing away, and outsource nothing.

Change anything, approve everything. Work through sketches and CAD until the shape is right, adjust any detail, and see and sign off your actual stones before we set them.

Honest advice, no upsell. We tell you which metals and settings last for years, and steer you off anything that won’t, even when it costs us the sale.

Made to be worn hard. We design for a lifetime of everyday wear, so the ring you propose with is the one you hand down.

The bespoke process ↗︎

The stone sets the character of the ring, so we take time over it, from a classic solitaire diamond to a sapphire, emerald, or something less expected.

We explain what you’re paying for. We’ll walk you through diamonds and coloured gemstones and explain the trade-offs in each, so the choice is yours.

Open about sourcing. Where we can, we’ll show you the options and where a stone comes from, so you can make a choice you feel good about. Prefer to work with a stone you already own? We can do that too.

(06)  Redesign an heirloom

Something new from something that already matters

Remould old gold

Gold you no longer wear, melted and remade into a ring you will wear, keeping the material and losing nothing that matters.

Reset a treasured stone

An inherited stone, or one from a piece that’s no longer to your taste, reset into a design that suits you now, its history and sentiment intact.

A low-waste choice

A thoughtful way to make something new from something that already means a great deal. It’s work we care about most.

A bespoke ring costs less than most people expect, and we’ll never let you overspend to impress us. Honest advice, and a fair price for real craftsmanship, not a mark-up on a mass-produced ring.

We build every quote from your choices and talk you through it before any work begins, so there are no surprises. Reusing your own stones or gold can bring the cost down.

Have a budget in mind? Tell us at the first meeting and we’ll design toward it. The final figure depends on three things.

Diamond or gemstone

The metal

How intricate it is

An engagement ring deserves a wedding ring shaped to sit against it. We make matching and fitted wedding bands in the same workshop, so the two pieces belong together.

(10)  Frequently asked questions

Ask us anything

How long does a bespoke engagement ring take?

Most rings take a few weeks from design sign-off to collection. Tell us your date and we’ll be straight with you about what’s possible.

Do I need to know exactly what I want?

No. Plenty of couples start with a photo or just a feeling. Our job is to help you shape it.

Can you use my old jewellery or inherited stones?

Yes. We remould old gold and reset treasured stones into a new design, keeping the sentiment and reducing waste.

How much do bespoke engagement rings cost?

It depends on the stone, the metal and the design. We build a clear quote from your choices and talk you through it before we begin. Share your budget and we’ll design toward it.

Do I need an appointment?

You’re welcome to pop in, but booking a consultation means we can give you our full attention. Call 01379 644790 to arrange a time.

How do I find out the ring size?

For a surprise, bring a ring they already wear and we’ll size it discreetly, or use our ring size guide. We resize once after the proposal if it isn’t quite right.
