Chain
& clasp repair.

A snapped chain needn’t mean the end of a favourite necklace. We solder, rebuild and replace by hand at our Diss workshop, securely enough to trust again. A family workshop in Diss since 1975.

A broken link or a worn clasp is one of the most common (and most fixable) repairs we see. Caught early it’s a small job; left too long it’s a lost necklace.

Invisible soldering. Broken links and parted chains are re-soldered by hand and matched to the metal, so the repair disappears into the line of the chain.

Clasps that hold. Tired or broken clasps are repaired or replaced with a secure new fitting: bolt rings, lobster clasps or hidden box clasps to suit the piece.

Chain & clasp repair — questions

Pop in to ask

How much does a chain repair cost?

Most chain and clasp repairs start from around £25. A simple soldered link sits at the lower end, a new clasp a little more. As our prices move with the gold price, we’ll confirm the cost in person before any work begins.

Can you fix a very fine or delicate chain?

Usually, yes. Fine chains are soldered with laser tools to keep the heat controlled and precise. We’ll let you know if a chain is too far gone to repair safely.

My clasp keeps coming undone. Can it be replaced?

Easily. We’ll fit a more secure clasp suited to the weight of the necklace, so it stays fastened when you wear it.

Do you repair bracelet chains too?

We do. Bracelets, anklets and necklaces alike. Bring it in and we’ll quote you before any work begins.

Don’t give up on it yet.
