This striking 4 stone rainbow ring was a very specific design of our customers, she wanted bright vivid hues and angular shapes inspired by ancient architecture. This resulted in a unique design incorporating a red spinel, blue sapphire, yellow sapphire and green tsavorite garnet, all princess cut in shape, giving the piece a contemporary edge.
Notes from the workshop
Stone sourcing is something we take pride in at The Jewellery Workshop and for this particular ring it was of upmost importance that we got the colours the customer desired. Because of this our designer Goldsmith Laura visited our stone suppliers in London and hand picked each stone to colour match to her design.

“I approached the Jewellery Workshop to make a bespoke ring for me. I had a very specific design in mind and had decided to get it made for my 50th birthday. The process of meeting with Laura (the goldsmith) and seeing the ring come to life was really exciting. We had an hour’s initial consultation at which I explained my ideas and Laura sketched and measured and came up with suggestions about how we could get the desired effect. I later went back to look at the gems she had sourced for my ring, she was really mindful about the saturation of the different colours involved and had made sure each stone complemented the other. The final product looks exactly as I had pictured it and I really enjoy wearing it. What a fantastic privilege to be able to have such a beautiful piece made up to one’s own design and specification. My intention is to enjoy it for as long as I can before handing it down to my daughter as a treasured and unique family piece.”
