Who else wears a golden halo other than angels… The owner of this spectacular emerald cut diamond ring with golden halo. Rather than adding diamonds around this already beautiful diamond, our customer opted for an addition of a sculpted gold halo and substantial ring shank. The contemporary linear style was designed to match the linear step cut facets of the diamond.
Notes from the workshop
Diamonds can be cut in either a step cut, faceted cut or a mixed cut. A step cut uses rectangular facets in diamond shapes such as emerald, square or asscher, whereas faceted cuts use kite shaped facets in diamond shapes such as round, princess, oval and pear. A mixed cut is a combination of these two styles, half on the top and half on the bottom of the stone.
