Ruby & Diamond 18ct Triangle Necklace
‘Multi-Functional Jewels’

This outstanding necklace was made to be a cherished family heirloom. The concept behind the design was to have a piece that is able to be dismantled and transformed in to three separate pendants. These would eventually be divided between our clients three children to be enjoyed for generations. The rubies and diamonds were from inherited jewellery and were carefully set into 18ct white gold. The necklace was then hand finished with a satin brush texture, with beautiful dotted inlays of yellow gold. In this particular case our customer loved the necklace so much she later commissioned a matching pair of earrings!

Notes from the workshop
Satin finish is a traditional jewellery technique used to decorate precious metals and jewellery. It is created by using a wire brush or polishing tool to scratch several small lines into the surface of metals. This creates a brushed/matte texture unlike the highly polished shiny effect we are used to seeing in jewellery.
